Shawn Wolfe, Boomer Banks, and NakedSword All Win Big at the 2014 Grabbys

Chi Chi LaRue and Honey West hosted a brisk and sort of surprising Grabby Awards ceremony last night, and somewhere in between Wendy Ho showed up and sang “I’ll Suck Your Dick In a Public Place” to the tune of “We Found Love (In a Hopeless Place)”.

Chi Chi threw some shade at mr. Pam. Boomer Banks threw some shade at Chi Chi (calling her red-wigged costume change her “Ariel reject” look). But the evening’s most shade-throwing-est moment came when Original Sinners director Marc MacNamara got onstage to introduce the clip from the movie as a Best Movie nominee. He said he didn’t care if he was sued, and said the best thing producer Michael Lucas did during his shoot in Costa Rica “was to stay off the set and out of the country.”

There were a few pretty predictable winners: Boomer Banks won Hottest Cock, Shawn Wolfe and Levi Karter both won Best Newcomer, and critical favorite The Haunting took home the prizes for Best Screenplay and Best Videography. After 18 nominations each, NakedSword and Raging Stallion each took home a trio of awards, including the big Best Movie prize for Frat House Cream and Best Director for mr. Pam. And Falcon’s versatile Man of the Year Ryan Rose got the prize for Best Versatile Performer. Much like in previous years, the awards were coincidentally well spread out among all the studios, so basically every studio went home with something (including Jet Set!).

And there were some surprises. Alexander Gustavo, who’s done some work for Hot House and Next Door, took home the prize for Hottest Bottom despite being up against some higher profile bottoms who got plowed on a near weekly basis through all of last year. Shawn Wolfe, in the same year he won as Best Newcomer, also won the prize for Best Duo with Hunter Page (for Frat House Cream). Trenton Ducati was named Performer of the Year for a second year in a row, and Boomer Banks was also named Performer of the Year after only being in the business a single year, marking what may be the first time that has happened in a category usually reserved for seasoned performers. And how could Dale Cooper not win Best Actor??

ALSO, after bursting onto the scene last year in Teddy Bear, Teddy retired from porn last night, and Chi Chi auctioned him off for $500 to David Arias of Grand Luxe Travel, who books the host hotel for the Grabbys each year. Pictures below.

I still say that Where the Wild Twinks Are was robbed, having not even been nominated in its natural category (Best Twink Movie), but awards ceremonies always have to disappoint someone.
