Friday
Fuck Shit Let’s Dance (FSLD) @ Deco Lounge
510 Larkin Street
9PM to 3AM, $5

Charlie Horse @ The Cinch
1723 Polk Street (bet. Clay & Washington)
10 PM, show at midnight
A little further up the street you can crawl to this hot mess. It beat out Trannyshack last year for best drag show, and it’s at a
bar that is sort of country-western themed but also has a ceiling
covered in colored in those multicolored Mexican paper flags. The drag performances tend toward the rock end of the spectrum and can be pretty hit or miss, but aren’t they all?
Saturday
Social Club @ The Lookout
16th & Noe (at Market)
9PM, $3
Let’s
just say that there are a lot of polo shirts and
while we’re totally cool with that and lots of pretty boys will be wearing
them, it can be a little unnerving. The tagline for this event, oddly, is “Upscale,
Downlow,” even though there’s nothing really down-low about it. This week is a CD release party for George Michael’s new album, Twentyfive.

sloppy teenagers (we use that term loosely) in their underwear playing
