Two-time Emmy nominated meteorologist Erick Adame is making headlines this morning after taking to Instagram to reveal the real reason fans are no longer seeing him on NY1. In a series of images featuring long bodies of texts, the publicly out New York City weatherman says that he was fired from his job after appearing on an adult webcam website and “performing on camera for other men.”
“I have recently been terminated from my job as the meteorologist at Spectrum News NY1 in NYC. I am taking this opportunity to share my truth rather than let others control the narrative of my life,” reads Erick’s Instagram post. “My psychiatrist calls my actions, ‘compulsive behavior,’ others would call them reckless, stupid or brazen. I’m not in a position to argue with any of these descriptions.”
His employer, Spectrum News, discovered Erick’s camming actions when they were anonymously sent screenshots from an online video chat that apparently featured the news personality. Court documents from The Daily Beast also show that these images were sent to Erick’s mother. The publication also lists that a spokesperson for Charter Communications, NY1’s parent company, declined to comment on the matter.
“It was 100% consensual on both of our parts,” continued the Instagram message. “I wasn’t paid for this, and it was absurd of me to think I could keep this private. Nonetheless, my employer found out and I was suspended and then terminated.”
Now, the fired morning meteorologist is filing a lawsuit against Unit 4 Media, the owners of LPSG, to reveal the identities of those who leaked his images to his employer. According to The Daily Beast, the petition states that the user “wrongfully disseminated the images” to Erick’s employer and mother “with the intent of harassing, annoying, or alarming” him.
The filing also states that “Anonymous disseminated the images without [Adame’s] consent” and that they knew the Mornings on 1 weatherman “had a reasonable expectation that the images would remain private.” Once identified, it seems that Erick will pursue legal action against the “anonymous tormentor.”
In his Instagram statement, Erick continued: “As a public figure I recognize that I have certain responsibilities that come along with the privileges I enjoyed. But, let me be clear about some thing: I don’t apologize for being openly gay or for being sex-positive-those are gifts and I have no shame about them.”
As for what’s next with Erick and his career, the weatherman ended his statement with a message to news directors and his potential employers across the country.
“Please judge me on the hundreds, thousands of hours of television that I am so proud of and that my employers have always commended me for, and not the couple of minutes of salacious video that is probably going to soon define me in our click-bait’ culture,” writer the New Yorker. “Think about your management of the newsroom-what have you overlooked, forgiven or ignored? In the end, all talent is fallible, full of human foibles, and your job is not made easier by our antics. One thing I can promise is that I have learned a lesson and I will be an exemplary employee and the most informed and enthusiastic meteorologist you have ever seen.”

Mcscuse me, bish! What year is this? 1834?!
From what I’m reading on various sites there is more to the story than a simple screen shot. Time for him to explain the entire story. Seems like his need for attention might have gone over board with what he was doing/saying on the sex site. People need to remember (especially public figures) your action have consequences, especially in the corporate world.
I have rad he would invite his grindr dates and get bootyfucked by them on cam. It was apparently against the camsites rules, as everyone appearing on the cam has to have their age verified. He is not a pedo, but it violated the site rules anyway. The one making the claims had provided screenshots to prove his point. I was neither interested not enough invested to save it. I just read it while scrolling through.
If everyone’s private life was made public, better than half the people in this country would probably lose their jobs. But it’s easy to target marginalized populations, especially in this day of “righteousness” and “family values,” concepts that many conservatives espouse but don’t actually practice. There are people out there who have done FAR WORSE than Erick, but because they’re white and male, they get away with it. We truly live in a two- (or even more) tiered justice system.
So does him suing LPSG mean he has a large one? He did not deserve to get fired, a weeks suspension without pay would have been enough.
Where are the pics? He should enter the world of porn, he looks sexy.
Of course LPSG is in the mix. So many shady people doing shady shit on there
What ever happens regarding his suit, maybe after he can make a porn. Base it off the classic Weather Girls -“It’s Raining Men” showering the general manager of that station in a shower of cum.
This is the consequences of posting online for sites such as fan sites. Some one is always out to get you.
so true especially if you are gay and a celebrity. Some basher is looking to take you down a peg and cause you harm just because you are gay.
Where’s the video?
There are 3 out there. Easy to find by searching his name on any of the porn aggregator sites. Honestly, it’s not worth it. He’s a boring lay
Seriously.
Remember Richard Quest on CNN getting ARRESTED for trespassing in Central Park with a pocket full of meth in the middle of the night. Arrested. CNN did not fire him.

Erick Adame committed NO CRIMES. So Shame on NY1 and Spectrum (which is evil, anyway).
