The National Institutes of Health gave the massive grant to the New York Psychiatric Institute with the goal of understanding why gay bars create such risky sexual spaces. Other than factors like hard dicks, loose assholes, self-hatred and booze, we’re not sure what exactly these researches hope to find.
But they’re forging ahead, spending two years in the fun-loving South American city to better tailor HIV prevention programs to gay bars back in the U.S. FoxNews, which reported on this endeavor, is obviously a little miffed. The fair and balanced news source is predicting that the budget “should leave a lot of money for tips.” Sure — but if the researchers really want to explore the root of the problem, just think of all the money they’ll save on condoms!
