The story concerns not the famed tobacco peddler, but a con man (Carrey) and the lover named Philip Morris who he meets in prison (McGregor), and follows them through all the stealing and conning they must do to maintain their Miami-dwelling, Versace-wearing gay lifestyle. Central themes besides gayness, therefore, appear to be greed and bad fashion. We can’t wait.
