UPDATED: Ricky Larkin: ‘There Are Just Not That Many Good Looking Black Guys In Porn’

Ricky Larkin is standing his ground after being called out for his opinions on why Black models aren’t prominently featured by mainstream porn studios.

This situation seemed to start when Larkin replied to one of Küper‘s tweets yesterday. Küper tweeted about being tired of “calling out studios” for social injustices when other models cared more about their paycheck than equality. Larkin replied saying that “studios will book what their fan base is paying to see.” Küper took the reply as Larkin saying there was no audience for Black models, so Larkin further expanded his opinion with a notes app screenshot.

“What I think is if the sites profiting off black models invested more into them than a paycheck for a scene, such as teaching skills on production end and giving opportunities to play more of a role in their product,” wrote Larkin. “Telling their stories through art on camera would eliminate stereotypical bull shit storylines and give a more authentic product as well as incentivize entering porn for a lot of black men who are looking more for a career.”

Now flash forward to this morning when Küper posted a screen recording of a now-deleted video from Larkin. The video features Larkin walking around while explaining his opinion on why there isn’t more Black representation from mainstream porn studios.

“There are just not that many good looking Black guys in porn. It’s that simple,” said Larkin in the video. “If there were better looking Black guys in porn, there would be more Black men shot for major studios.”

It seems that Küper was only able to record 12 seconds of the 54-second video, so we aren’t sure what Larkin said in the rest of clip but you can watch the available 12 seconds below:

Larkin replied to Küper and told him to “quit clout chasing on Twitter.”

Their exchange continued when Küper summarized Larkin’s stance as “arguing to not make space for black people because you don’t find them attractive.” In response, Larkin said he filmed more scenes with Black men and women last year than Küper has filmed total scenes throughout his entire life.

Larkin later reposted his original notes app statement about Black models and shamed Küper for “rallying hate.” Küper then told Larkin that the “whole internet” is telling him he’s wrong and that he should “take a seat and listen.”

What do you think of this exchange? Should Küper have called out Larkin for his opinion? Should Larkin have to apologize for what he said? Do you agree with either of them? Sound off in the comments below.

JUNE 26, 2020 UPDATE:

After receiving criticism from many members of the Black gay porn community, Ricky Larkin has issued an official apology for what he said in his deleted video. The star tweeted out a statement last night and has since pinned it to the top of his Twitter profile.

“I love every one regardless of race/ethnicity. I realize that my poor choice of words has caused division & hate. This isn’t an accurate representation of me at all,” tweeted the star. “I am striving for a level playing field & am fully open to education. I will do better & I am sorry.”

Jason Vario replied to the apology saying it “sounded more like a corporate damage control statement than an actual apology.” Max Konnor replied with a gif and a facepalm emoji. Larkin responded to Konnor and told him to “give it a rest.” He later added that Konnor is “the most popular black performer in the biz” and has “done nothing to help level the playing field.”

After the original article was published, we reached out to Ricky Larkin for comment on what was said in the rest of the video that Küper wasn’t able to record. At time of publication, we have not received a statement from Larkin about the video.

  1. As I read this article, a gay black adult actor that is always outstanding in his performances is Robert Axel. He should be nicknamed ”the mailman”, because he always delivers an intense and passion performance.

Another good looking black gay adult performer is Bo Stallion.

As for Ricky Larkin, he always gives a powerful performance. He is very goodlooking. I have enjoyed all of his performances., however I prefer him being unshaved . Seeing his chest and back hair is a big plus.

    Thank you.

  2. I have found there are NUMEROUS HOT Black men in porn! Ricky is one of them…until he opens his mouth. He often speaks before he thinks – or maybe he does think before he speaks – which then becomes a whole other topic. I have found many white men to be extremely hot as well – until they open their mouths and you find out they are a white supremacist. Words can be ugly. Words can be uglier than people! Words make a difference! Ricky and I had an exchange on Twitter as well – and when I called him out on his ugly comment, he deleted his comment (no apology – just deleted it). I then deleted all of the scenes that I had bought and saved that had Ricky Larkin in them. I won’t watch him anymore. I can’t! Because every time I see him, I think of his words and my Cock goes soft. People often use words to try to prove that they are better than others – where, in reality, they prove to be less than anyone else around them. Ultimately there is a price to be paid for that. Ricky will pay that price. He’s already lost this fan – how many more are there that he’s now lost over this? Porn makes a huge difference in my life! It takes me out of an ugly world – and for a moment transports me to a place that I want to be! But if men are going to be ugly in what they say – I’m not going to that place!

  3. So i assume he considers himself ‘handsome’? Well Ricky, I got news for you, you are ugly and have a meth body and face. Stop patronising black actors. Porn industry is racist as fuck. I grew up only liking white men because that is all i saw in porn when growing up and what i considered the norm. Then one day watched ‘Barebacking with Jeff Palmer’ and my mind changed with black men. So beautiful, so powerful, so sexy and sensual and great performers overall. Then Open my horizons and started liking Latin and arab men too. Now i rarely watch white porn, the models are ugly as fuck, basic and so loud in the videos. Only watch black and latin men in porn and it is great. Stop saying these men are ugly, you are the ugly one here with an ugly attitute and no education at all.

  4. Well the only reason guys want to see black guys in porn is for the big black cock. all black porn is not even on the radar. Guys prefer to see interracial.

    1. You are as ignorant as Larkin. There are big cocks of every color. Studios back in the day occasionally put Black stars not because of their bbc’s but consumers inquired about it. Porn is suppose to be more open today than years past. The good thing now , is there are more race specific studios due to the White dominated and owned studios catering only to Whites and their likes.

  5. There are plenty of white guys I don’t find attractive and as a result I don’t subscribe to the services on which they are predominant. The same is true of POC men as well. If a guy is attractive and good sexually on screen, I’ll watch, if not I won’t. It’s pretty simple.

As a gay black man I agree 100% with Ricky Larkin! I hope he stands his ground and doesnt give in to the mob mentality which is nothing more than bullying those who disagree with their opinion.

    1. It is not about agreeing or disagreeing with him. Nor about his opinion. It is about bringing race into the picture. He did the same thing with Armond Rizzo. His comments would have had more credibility had he not used race as a reason.

  7. I agree with Ricky. Studios shouldn’t be called racist because they don’t promote fully black actors. I feel for black actors because if you see sites or just a scene or a movie, it has to put it out there that it’s about “big black cock” r something in the hood, while you look at white guy scenes and nothing. Why should they have to be labeled like that. The not many attractive comment wasn’t the best cause look at a few guys from men, nextdoor and sean cody????

    1. It is not the studios that is being called out. It is Larkin for bringing race and looks into a subject that was uncalled for. This is not the first time he has done this.

  8. Larkin is right! There aren’t many good looking black men in porn. If porn is a business then they should go with the models that sell. Black models ain’t producing the numbers they want, too bad. Find a company that will represent you fully or create your own. Homie is on twitter trying to cancel culture anyone with an opposing view. gtfoh

  9. Who the fuck cares about how many scenes one did with Black men and women? That does not make one any less ignorant or inclusive. If he had said, my record speaks for itself, would have been more credible. It is like saying ” I have Black friends so I cant be ignorant or racist.” How one acts when they’re not around is not the same as treating everyone with respect ALL THE TIME.

    1. No his comment is not about what sells….. he stated there are not that many good looking Black men. Not only was it ignorant but shallow. Has he looked at the White men and included them? There are so many guys who are questionable in terms of looks. This was him bringing race into something that was uncalled for.

      1. Wow. Can’t believe Larkin made that comment. And who is he to determine who is or isn’t good looking? He should be looking into the mirror at himself: his face is a cross between a bull dog and a pug. Wait… that’s too kind.

    2. Exactly that’s what it’s all about and why are blacks always the ones so concerned how many are in a certain scene or business. Other minorities you never hear them complain , Latin or Asians about how many guys are in a scene or a certain business. Who cares.

I want to see fat ugly guys in porn. NOT!!!

  10. Has Larkin looked in the mirror lately? If there are not that many good looking Black guys in porn, he looks like the dog’s ass walking backwards. There are a lot of hot Black porn stars both gay and straight. Get your ignorance out of porn and become a Trump junkie!

  11. Universal Potentate

People like Kuper are a product if cancel culture. People used to get a thrill from getting someone else fired. Now, with Twitter we can end careers. We have to acknowledge this as a very real psychological motivation in certain people. I think Larkin observes this tactic as a possibility for self-elevation. Whether this comes from a personal thrill, a desire for social recognition or both, it certainly gets in the way of intelligent, mature discussion of finding real problems and real solutions. There’s no true value to Kuper’s attitude and it attracts (a lot of) immature minds.

    1. Or maybe he has issues with racism? And isn’t it weird how some people cry ‘cancel culture’ when people say shit that they deserved to be cancelled for?
