- A New Jersey Congressman has had a “change of heart” on the gay marriage issue, and “pressure is mounting,” says 365gay, on NJ lawmakers to legalize gay marriage. Decidedly Midori Sour! Listen, marriage doesn’t offend us, and as we keep trying to tell everyone WE’RE FULLY IN SUPPORT OF GAY MARRIAGE AND ARE TOTALLY HAPPY FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS IT. It’s just that we’re not looking to get immediately married ourselves, and neither are most of our friends, and we’d like to be the voice for all those of us gays who still want to have fun more than we want to settle down and become Jim and Jim from ‘American Beauty.’ We are covering the issue because it’s like the only thing in everyone’s news cycle right now and we are trying to offer a quick overview of notable gay news on a weekly basis. What offends us is the utterly boring and humorless video-blog stylings of ‘Two Gay Guys’ and the whole AfterElton website in general. We apologize for the confusion.
Hey, Editor! Your “sweet relief” has gone decided sour. If the thought of two people of the same sex in a happy committed relationship legally acknowledged as equal to heteros’ in the eyes of the government offends you, how about not covering it any more?
