Jonathan Bailey Gets Milked for Loewe

The country might be on the verge of a heat wave, but that is not the reason we’re suddenly feeling overheated and sweaty.

That would be from Loewe’s new partnership with Jonathan Bailey and his new foundation, The Shameless Fund (aptly named, we’d add). Seemingly, someone said, “Serve them the ’90s ‘Got Milk?’ campaign but make it IG thirsty,” and thus these glorious images and gifs were born.

All of this stems from that instantly iconic video of the Fellow Travelers star at a Loewe party, wearing a “Drink Your Milk” T-shirt and angel wings and being basically the sexiest man dancing on the internet since Barry Keoghan in Saltburn.

The partnership is to help launch Bailey’s new foundation The Shameless Fund, dedicated to raising money for LGBTQ+ initiatives. “A few years ago I thought, What can you do as an actor? There are so many amazing people who are on the frontline. They’re the real heroes that are working for organizations, and charities, and initiatives, which can speak to so many specific groups of people,” Bailey told Vogue. “How can I raise money without asking people to actually donate and sponsor, [but rather] to invite people to experience art and beautiful, inspiring, naughty, and exciting collaborations?”

Not to mention the T-shirt (we need one yesterday, but it’s not available until June 27) is inspired by Matt Bomer’s infamous line in Fellow Travelers, which Bailey describes as “immaculately and robustly performed by Matt Bomer in a way that I think will send shudders through many people in the best possible way.”

This is the representation we are here for: an out gay man who is proudly defiant in his sexuality even while playing the straight male lead on Bridgerton (with a star turn in Wicked coming this fall) but making sure to provide a helping hand for those who might still be struggling.

And suddenly, we’re really second-guessing that oat milk in our fridge. Should we run out and get some good old-fashioned cow milk? Nah, why buy the milk when you can get the cow for free. We suddenly have a much better plan to enjoy this heat wave…
