The girls are fighting!
We just told you about Josh Moore’s new role in the XXX Simple Life parody, but now he’s making headlines for a whole different reason. On Friday morning Josh became one of many porn performers to voice their opinion on the new gay porn site SlamRush. And after a couple tweets voicing his opinion and calling others out, Josh quickly found himself in a massive Twitter fight.
SlamRush advertises itself as the personal website of someone looking for “vulnerable young dudes.” The homepage reads, “I find em, slam em, & breed em. You don’t like it… Go fuck yourself. Plenty of us wanna see this shit.” “Slam em” referring to the act of injecting drugs into one’s veins.
Over the past couple days many big names in the industry have called out the porn site for its use of hardcore drugs. Their argument is that drug use is already a serious issue in the community and does not need to be promoted in porn scenes. Others say that this style of porn is just a fetish, like any other category of kink porn, and shouldn’t be censored. A Twitter war broke out once these two sides started clashing.
Many of the tweets in question have been deleted, but we have the receipts. Take a look at these screenshots of everything that was exchanged on Friday. It all started when Josh Moore called out performer Michael Roman and questioned why he was following the controversial studio on Twitter.
Moore then discovered Michael had actually been featured in a video on the controversial studio. Michael replied saying that his scene was filmed three years ago and that there were “a lot of big name stars” on his set. Josh hit back saying that Michael “won’t be welcomed” at any of the award shows this year.
Billy Santoro joined the conversation and compared drug use in porn to how people used to view bareback in porn. “Tell me the difference. Both are health risks,” tweeted the model.
Billy stated that “chem sex” is just a type of fetish that is “relatable to a lot of the community.” Then things then got heated when Billy tweeted what Josh interpreted as a violent threat.
Other performers like Bruce Beckham and Nick Capra chimed in their opinions as well. While Nick didn’t specifically say he was commenting on the Twitter discourse, we’re assuming he was tweeting about the SlamRush controversy.
There were also other stars like Sharok, Max Konnor, Brock Banks, Max Adonis, and Boomer Banks who made their opinions known prior to Friday’s online altercation. Sharok blocked the studio on Twitter and others were reporting the account.
This doesn’t seem like a topic that’s going to go away anytime soon. What do you think of this controversy? Should studios ban the promotion of drugs in gay pornography or is viewing it in porn just a harmless kink? Sound off your opinion in the comments below.
UPDATED 01/11/19 4:30PM:
Michael Roman replied to our tweet that linked to this story.
“I filmed for SlamRush 3 years ago. When we filmed we had no idea what the site was. I was under the impression the site would be like SketchySex (same director) I do not support the site and I’m ashamed I did it! I’ve never threatened to hurt Josh Moore,” tweeted the performer.
They don’t actually show drug use it is just insinuated. In one of the videos posted on the site the guys say “he needs another hit” about the bottom. Then they show the bottom with a look like he just got high and was ready for some more sex.
The people who own slamrush are loving all this controversy because it is the best type of free advertising for the site.
What is clearest from this whole article, like it ever needed any more proof, is that Billy Santoro is a total and unmitigated cunt.
Exactly. I’m not gung ho about barebacking in porn, but don’t see it as equivalent to glorifying drug use. Precautions can be taken with condomless sex. What’s the precaution when it comes to crysal and other sex drugs?
Love it. Because of this, I prescribed. Everyone is using.
