Grabby Awards 2019: Who’s Your Pick for Best Newcomer?

We’re just three weeks away form the Grabby Awards in Chicago! In our first look at some of the categories, we examine the Best Newcomers. Which one of these 15 studs would get your vote?

The 2019 Grabbys take place Saturday, May 25 at the Metro Theater in Chicago, but you can party all weekend—including when NakedSword & Falcon Studios Group Present the Half-Naked Porn Star Takeover at the Lucky Horseshoe Lounge on Friday, May 24! 2019 Grabbys Best Newcomer Nominees

1. Max Adonis: One of the hardest working performers of 2018 worked with NakedSword, Falcon, CockyBoys, Men.com, Noir Male and more. He even had a movie named after him: Falcon’s Max in the City, which earned him a Hottest Flip nom with Seth Santoro. Also up for Hottest Bottom and Performer of the Year. I would consider him one of the favorites.

2. Ruslan Angelo: This Lucas Entertainment exclusive is of Swedish descent, and originally appeared in late 2017. Highlights from last year include a few orgies and a hot bottoming for Manuel Skye. Also up for Hottest Body.

3. Timarrie Baker: Also starting his career in 2017, Timarrie had a breakout last year—including appearances in NakedSword’s Berkeley Sophomore Year and Nob Hill. He’s also worked for Noir Male, Young Perps, Treasure Island, Dark Alley, Sky Media and more. Also up for Hottest Cock.

4. Remy Cruze: Another favorite, Remy has been a frequent performer for Noir Male. His scene with Skyy Knox in Private Show is up for Best Duo and Best Rimming, and his scene with fellow nominee Cade Maddox in Hot House’s Swim Meat is also up for Best Rimming.

5. Dillon Diaz: Starting his career at Noir Male last year, Dillon was the studio’s April Man of the Month. He also appeared in Raging Stallion’s Night Riders and is the newly released At Large.

6. Nick Fitt: New York’s Nick has beautiful eyes, among his many beautiful body parts. He has worked for Noir Male, Bad Puppy and more, and appeared in Falcon’s Get Wet.

7. Johnny Hands: More like Johnny Handsome! According to Johnny on his Helix profile, “I’m an equal opportunity fornicator and prefer not to label myself as bisexual or straight. I’m into kink, BDSM and like to dominate also I am a popular cam model.” Also up for Best Duo with Kyle Ross in Vegas Nights, and Hottest Flip with Josh Brady in Alpha Top Flip Flop. A dark horse to win.

8. Casey Jacks: With the recent news of Casey’s passing, this well-deserved nomination adds an intense level of emotion to this category. Casey turned in top-notch work for so many studios, and most recently worked heavily with Men.com. He appeared in Falcon’s Buddy System, Service Me, Looking for the Big One, Hidden Palms and Intimate; in NakedSword’s The Devil’s Deal & Other Sordid Details; and in Hot House’s Swim Meat. He also appears in the upcoming Diary of a Sex Addict for Falcon.

9. Cade Maddox: Another favorite, Cade appeared in Falcon’s Max in the City and has worked heavily with Cocky Boys (where he has already done a scene with fellow nominee Max Adonis). Also up for Performer of the Year, Best Supporting Actor (for Icon Male’s Gay Divorcees), Hottest Top, Hottest Cock, Hottest Body and two slots in the Hottest Rimming category (with Justin Matthews in Cade Has A Big Fat Dick from CockyBoys; and with fellow nominee Remy Cruze in Hot House’s Swim Meat). That makes him the most nominated man from this category; don’t expect him to go home empty handed.

10. Corey Marshall: Another Helix cutie. According to the studio, the “quiet and courteous California native keeps his fans (and co-workers) craving more. Corey’s not only sexy, he’s smart. This student spends the majority of his time studying to be a nurse.” Time to head to the doctor!

11. Ben Masters: Born and raised in Malibu but now a NYC man, Ben started off with Helix and shifted to CockyBoys. Also up for Best Twink Performer (along with the next nominee, who he previously dated…)

12. Angel Rivera: Another favorite, Angel broke free of his small-town Texas roots to blossom at Helix, and has now moved on to expand his career (he just filmed with GuysinSweatpants). Also up for Best Twink Performer, Best Supporting Actor (Vegas Nights), Hottest Flip (with Andy Taylor in “Blazing Bareback”), Best 3 Way (with Corbin Colby and boyfriend Joey Mills in Vegas Nights) and two nods for Best Group (for Room for One More and Vegas Nights).

13. Jared Shaw: This Romanian stud has worked with Staxus, EastBoys.com and BoyFun.com. He also likes to lick up his own loads (yum!). Also nominated for Hottest Top and Best Duo (with Tommy Hunter in “Filling Up Jared’s Drain” for BoyFun).

14. Colby Tucker: Oh so very handsome! Also up for Hottest Bottom and Best 3 Way (with Marquee D’Angelo and Casey Everett for Noir Male’s “Pay Up”).

15. Alam Wernik: The Best Newcomer winner at this year’s GayVN Awards, Alam is perhaps considered the favorite here. Can he double his hardware? Alam has created a splash in many a NakedSword (including The Chosen Few and Nob Hill) and Falcon hit (including Zack and Jack Make a Porno and A Taste of Brazil) and just moved to CockyBoys. Also nominated for Hottest Bottom, Hottest Body and two Best Duo scenes: with Woody Fox for Zack & Jack; and with Ryan Rose for The Last Rose (NakedSword/BelAmi), a scene that also earned a Best Rimming nod.
