Former Next Door Studios Makeup Woman Bambi Stars In New Reality Series 'Transcendent'

I had heard a rumor that there was a reality show being filmed featuring the trans ladies of Asia SF — a nightclub/dinner theater thing in San Francisco frequented by straight tourists who want to ogle trans ladies. And now the trailer and airdate have arrived.

Bambi, who’s been absent from The Sword since back when she was dating James Jamesson and went to the White Party, no longer works at Next Door Studios and has been working full time as a performer at Asia SF for over a year now.

The show’s called Transcendent, and it’s being produced by World of Wonder (who also make Rupaul’s Drag Race) and will air on Fuse, starting on September 30 (it’s got a 11:30 p.m. airtime, maybe because it’s risqué?).

The first trailer kind of makes Bambi look like an alcoholic (and she’s going by the name Bambiana now?), but it looks like it’ll be a fun show!

(And in case you’re just tuning in, the gorgeous Bambi once went by the name Christian Cruz, and did a little porn for Lucas back in the day.)

And here are all the Transcendent girls dancing in L.A. last Friday night at a party at the rooftop of the Beverly Hilton, performing for the Television Critics Association.
