Former Channel One Model Jonathan West Is Now A New York City Firefighter

XBiz, busy as they are covering the world of straight porn, sometimes messes up with the terminology surrounding gay stuff, like in this article about former “pay for gay” star Jonathan West, a.k.a. fitness model Jonathan Jesensky, who’s now been discovered to be a firefighter in New York.

Anyway, the point of the article is that the FDNY is totally cool with their firemen having porn pasts, unlike certain police forces who fire people for such things.

Jonathan West, who is a former Marine, made some stunning achievements during a brief porn career that included some bisexual porn from All Worlds/Channel One like Semper Bi, and gay stuff like Paramedics. The NY Post breathlessly reports that he made at least 10 gay porn films,

He is extremely hot, and straight (sorry, pay-for-gay), and has a tattoo across his abs that says “FRAGILE.” Whatever that means!

It turns out he’s been an EMT for the FDNY since 2012.

Below, some hot photos of him in his prime in the mid-aughts.

  1. I loved Semper Bi. That was a hot movie. I always wished I’d have done a bi movie before I retired. I think I could have gotten Savanna Samson (@TheRealSavanna … on twitter) to do it with me. She offered me a night of debauchery with her and her husband in NY after the HBO premiere of THINKING XXX a few years ago. My partner was not up for it. (bastard)

NY is actually very progressive when it comes to porn. I actually did my student teaching for Hunter College in Manhattan and it was well known by students and staff who I was. You just have to be smart about it and do what I did anytime the subject is approached say, “this is not the proper venue for this conversation”.

Trust me, Moral clauses in contracts are seldom stricter than when it comes to teachers. You have to just be respectful of the situation. I would never go around in my porn personna and discuss teaching issues, or where I was teaching at, and when at a school I don’t discuss my past porn career. One is just not an appropriate subject to broach within the other.

Good Luck Jonathan, and here’s hoping to seeing that amazing body again on the pages of the yearly NY Fire Fighters Calendar.

  2. How about just actors? Bottom rung, struggling actors. There’s nothing truly sexy about shooting porn, they’re producing content that ends up being sexy, but it’s ultimately just a movie. Why the constant fuss and speculation over sexual orientation? They’re doing a job, getting paid. Does a banker have to live and breathe money? Did Meryl Streep have to support the Conservative party’s ideals in order to portray Margaret Thatcher? You’re grasping at straws here guys and it amounts to reverse discrimination. You don’t have to be gay to take a dick in your ass, or put one in your mouth for that matter. The only thing that defines sexuality is a feeling inside. Sex can be mechanical and meaningless, or it can be a powerful expression of love. Take a guess which type is portrayed in porn and stop with the hate.

    1. “reverse discrimination” in what sense? They aren’t suffering loss because they can’t get work for their heterosexuality, it is the opposite of what you are saying. I think it is a reasonable expectation to have “gay” sex in “gay” porn. I don’t expect to get paid for doing the minimum at my work, neither should they whatever their sexuality is! It kind of goes together. I think producers and performers have to be called out for not doing that, or rehashing scene pairings and lackluster one note performances. This is an entertainment forum, and people have the right to express dissatisfaction at this laziness.

They are marketing gay for pay like it is still the 90’s. We don’t care if this any performer is straight! They should do their job! Didn’t they elect to work in a gay industry? No one put a gun to their heads and said, “you have to do this!” They can leave anytime they don’t want to be having gay sex – which is all the time based on what some of them are saying on social media. You complain about your job and the quality of work, then leave, simple as that.

IF a performer is just a prop for the scene, I don’t need to waste my time in gay porn, I could watch that shit in straight porn.

      1. Reverse discrimination in that you’re shaming and hating on the majority for not being the minority. The complaints are largely based on the fact that he’s straight and somehow exploiting our community simply by acting in gay porn. That’s not so. And social media? Are you really going to form your opinions based on rumor and conjecture that’s oftentimes unverifiable? Straight, gay, who cares? Why do we have to take a moral high road for our sex workers’ orientations? It’s absurd. Bad acting is bad acting. Has nothing to do with being heterosexual.

  3. I’m assuming he’s another Cody Cummings…handsome, hot, and a “you can suck my dick but don’t expect anything in return” kinda guy! We need to come up with another name for these men. They are not “gay” for pay. How about “trying to fake out the gay porn community” for pay?

  4. What a great looking guy. Thanks for posting. I always like to read about the successes and accomplishments of former porn stars.
