This is funny: Toronto-based gay porn cable channel Maleflixxx, which is owned by a larger porn entity called Channel Zero and affiliated with this streaming site of the same name, has been told they aren’t in compliance with a Canadian law that requires them to show at least 8.5 hours of Canadian content per day.
The warning came as Channel Zero was trying renew licenses for three of their porn channels, and all three were found not to be in compliance with the law. A spokesperson for the company said they were only “minutes” shy of being in compliance, and it was all just the result of an error, not of the fact that there isn’t enough porn made in Canada to fill that much of a TV schedule.
Maleflixxx shows content from a variety of American and British producers, and they appear to currently be trying to fulfill the Canadian quota with shows called Men of Ottawa and Men of Toronto, and maybe they throw in some Pierre Fitch and Tommy D here and there. (Is he even in Canada anymore?)
Bustin Beeber 2, anyone?

I don’t understand why Maleflixxx left out some Canadian gay porn studios such as Videoboys and it’s sister site Squirtz, where I believe if I am not mistaken is where Jake Bass started his career in porn among others now in the Cockyboys stable. Checking out their site and their line up is full of videos from over a decade ago.
Last I checked, Tommy D 1) went to Canada for, like, 2 weeks on a vacation, and 2) retired years ago. WTF?
Somebody needs to get an HD gay porn channel on DirecTV. DTV’s porn revenue would skyrocket, no doubt.
