Gay Artist Makes Freaky Haute Couture Muppet Costumes

The exhibit — currently on display at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and traveling elsewhere — includes films of people moving and dancing in the suits, as well as a full collection of the suits on mannequins. 

Cave was inspired by African-influenced celebration rituals like Mardi Gras, and strove to create these otherworldly creatures that are both delightful to look at and completely fucking freaky.
