We learned about Michelle in a piece from the U.K. Sun, which doesn’t disappoint with their classic British tabloid rhyming headline, “Cops Canny Tranny Is Hate Crimes Nanny.” Michelle only began transitioning 18 months ago and still lives with her wife and kids, but she’s already begun a campaign to rid her community of the transphobic violence it doesn’t yet seem to have.
“I get a real buzz from doing the course. I’m in my comfort zone.”[says Michelle.]A spokeswoman for the Dyfed Powys force said: “She does a brilliant job. While there is no recorded hate crime in the area, that isn’t to say it doesn’t exist.”
Way to nip it in the bud Michelle! Perhaps when the kids are grown she’ll move on to frying bigger fish in a bigger city, but for now Michelle is giving the Dyfed Powys police force something to talk about over donuts.
