Trent Locke Donates Earnings From Scene With Steven Daigle To Charity

Via Trent Unlocked:

I am currently sitting in a nice little coffee shop in SoHo (London, still) and I was checking some things and I learned that I was cut a cheque for several hundred dollars from my blog. At first, I thought “Wow! Cool”, but then I saw that a good amount of the income came from referrals to cocksuremen.com (and my scene with my ex-boyfriend) right after an instance of domestic violence. That did (and still does) not sit well with me. If I’m to earn profit from anything, it is to be earned by work and effort, not humiliation, regret and what follows. That being said, I am not cashing the cheque from CCBill (the payor) – I am donating it to a cause that seems most fitting – The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Centre.

Good for Trent! However, if he donated his affiliate payout money, why not also make a donation in the amount of whatever he was paid to do the actual scene, which would be a more direct way of assuaging his feelings of humiliation and regret over “what followed.” How much money does a web scene pay, anyway? $300? $400? $1000? Just think of how many abused gay people that could feed. But no, let’s not split hairs over an act of selfless charity so close to the holidays.

You can make your own donation to the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center (for any reason at all; it doesn’t have to be because you got in a fight with your ex-boyfriend, and you don’t have to write a blog post about it either) by clicking here.

  1. good job trent. that’s what’s up. i do the aids ride every summer and the la gay and lesbian centre is an AMAZING place to donate your $$$$ to.

  2. I couldn’t agree more! People who have been damaged, either physically, emotionally or ethically, should take a stand against profiting from their past ventures when all which was once good between everyone has now turned into everything which is now bad. And even if you weren’t any of the above, you should still claim so for future work and public sympathy. .

But let’s Take Phillip Ashton and Kevin Burns as an opposite type example of this story – just as an example for ethical purposes.

Kevin Burns, who’s performed under the name of Kayden Daniel and has performed under the direction and financial benefit of Phillip Ashton, is a perfect example of why victims shouldn’t give back when things go wrong later on in life.

Kevin Burns was raped. Or at least, no-one to date has proved otherwise. But here comes Philip Ashton, the queer little faggoty personality that everyone loves to hate – privately.

His blog has now been conveniently cleansed of all of his words and hate which once accused Kevin Burns of being a liar, a fake and a false victim of violent rape and battery upon him. Convenient.

I think Philip Ashton should now tally up and disclose the value of Kevin Burns’ ass and scenes to him and to further anti-up and donate that monetary amount to a San Diego charity befitting of the gay community.

Like Trent Locke – I think Philip Ashton should take a stand and take this moment to further our community into a no-tolerance zone if he believes that Kevin Burns has defrauded himself, and us as a community – for his own benefit – which he [Ashton] has suggested on his now deleted blog post.

What you say Phillip? Money up or man up?

    Perhaps you have neither.

  3. I guess it’s because he filmed the scene before the assault (obviously), then he got assaulted and some people were implying he grossly exaggerated the whole thing to get publicity. Maybe this is to make it clear he’s not profiting off the publicity (as well as genuine altruism.)
