Kennedy Drops Transgendered from Senate ENDA
The Human Rights Committee dropped transgendered from the language the Employment Non-Discrimination Act to the dismay of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force. (The HRC and the NGLFT generally hate each other, with the former being ruled by guppies and lipsticks, and the latter being more lefty and inclusive). This week Sen. Ted Kennedy endorsed the bill leading the trans to scream their tits off. Or their no-tits, as it were.
Inmate Sex Change Gets New Look
Convicted murderer Michelle Kosilek has been fighting the prison system in Massachusetts since 2000 to fund her gender reassignment. In 1990, when she was a he, Kosilek murdered his wife; she has been living as a woman in an all-male prison facility since 1993. In 2002, the Dept of Correction began funding her hormone treatments and laser hair removal as part of a state-funded gender reassignment, however she now argues that this is not sufficient to relieve her anxiety and depression and cites two recent suicide attempts. While we’re excited to see this sad and murderous man become a gentle, Kumbaya-signin’ lady, we also suspect that she might petition to have herself removed from the prison, as we suspect it also causes anxiety and depression.

Letterman calls Oregon trans man Thomas Beattie an
androgynous freakshow. We would never say such a thing, and would only
make light in order to write a winning headline. While we’re happy he is leading a gender-exploding existence and carrying a baby, we think maybe he and the wife might want to quit being bound by the non-gender-exploding language like, uh, wife. Clip below.
