Michael Musto Has Imaginary Affair, Blogs About It

The blogger had better be uniquely famous (Erik Rhodes) or uniquely gifted at writing (Rosie O’Donnell… JK!) to make it worth our while.

We’ll also admit that we’d never read Michael Musto’s blog on the Village Voice site before today–that is, La Daily Musto, the bloggy extension of his weekly gossip column, La Dolce Musto.  But if today’s post, titled “Having a Crush Can Be So Fabulously Awful,” is any example, then we understand why he lost the Best Blogger Glammy to Lady Bunny.  With all the broad generalizing and the awkward sense that he’s writing about himself without telling us anything juicy, we’re reminded of a high school girl’s journal-writing assignment for English class:

When you’re finally forced to confront the fact that your feelings are as unreturnable as a sale item at Tiffany’s, your finely constructed illusion comes crashing to the ground and you’re left with a hollow heart and one ticket to see Twilight. It can be devastating to find that the person of your dreams not only doesn’t love you, they don’t think about you at all!

Please, Michael… TLI (Too Little Information).
