But for Marc Jacobs there is only one word to describe this whirlwind of a week: the man-skirt.

Closing both Marc and Marc-by-Marc
in a t-shirt and a skirt, Jacobs is doing his damnedest to usher in a
new sartorial trend. Think of it as the masculinization of the
feminization of menswear! He may be too macho for bandage tops and this
season’s bikini-inspired silhouettes but that doesn’t mean he can’t get
girly with a wrap from the waist down. We spotted him ourselves, skirt
and all, this past Tuesday on Mercer Street, entering a Mercedes Jeep.
The attention-hungry designer (pictured above in some hammy PDA in
Tribeca) is clearly on his way to some crotch-exposing limousine exits. Below, pictorial timeline:
