LISTEN UP FAGGOT!: The Big Pink Are Two of Our Favorite Things

London’s The Big Pink returns to the U.K.’s ’90s madstock shoegaze roots and infuses their subsequently spacey anthems with industrial beats, a searing temporal bass buzz, and a candy coat of ambiguous gay imagery to create a big, throbbing, pink, musical boner.

Whether or not the two are actually living breathing gays is up for debate (Furze is purported to be the latest BF of saccharine pop tart, Lily Allen), but they’ve been featured prominently in the most recent issue of the queer zine They Shoot Homos, Don’t They?, received an endorsement by mutual fan Dennis Cooper, and covered their MySpace profile in homoerotic collages and xeroxed handwritten obituaries for young kidnapped boys. Whatever the case may be, we’ve come to learn that the truth hurts around these parts and since we’re sluts for gays and gay-wannabes alike, we’re head over heels regardless.
