Reports are surfacing that Queen Elizabeth II, in her planned November speech is expected to pressure Parliament to pass a broad-reaching bill in support of equality for gays, lezzies and trans people. Britain currently has on the books so-called "Sexual Orientation Regulations" that protect LGBTs from discrimination in receiving goods and services, however no law exists promoting general equality in government services and areas like health care, education, foster care and the court system.

Apart from bestowing Knighthood on Sir Elton John, Sir John Gielgud and Sir Ian McKellan, we weren't aware of the Queen's love for the gays. Now we know.
