 A San Franciscan named Mark is having a worse month than you are. A man jumped out of his 6th story window and landed on Mark's Honda Civic. Now his car has AIDS. Details after the jump.
This happened a month ago, but we didn't believe the story was true until the photos below surfaced. The gist: Mark's life sucks. First, in September, his car got broken into. The same week, two apartments in his building were robbed. The next month, his motorcycle was stolen.
And then, in November, there was the bloody icing on the cake. When Mark came back to his car that day, the windshield was caved in, the front hood was covered in blood, and there was a note on the windshield.
The text of the note reads, "Mark your vehicle was involved in an incident. A person fell from the building that you parked next to. Subject that fell has AIDS, as a warning to you to be carefull. Attached is a case # of the incident."
The note was left by Mark's building manager. It came accompanied by a police report. As for the suicide-jumper, some telephone wires broke his 80-foot fall and he survived. But Mark's HIV-infected car will never be the same again. Not only did the city charge Mark $375 for towing and storage, but also the cost of repairing his car would cost more than the car is worth.
And no, his insurance won't cover it. Apparently there's no damage-by-falling-men clause. We're guessing they won't cover the car's retrovirals either.
