In this scene from “Out,” we learn “O-kau ni irete smiru!” means “Put it in your mouth … and smile!” in Japanese. Luke Adams also discovers what that means from Dirk Caber by demonstration rather than translation.
Just like a mainstream movie, porn is sometimes shot out of sequence. TitanMen director Jasun Mark shared with me they filmed this scene last. It was on their way home from this very scene they made their now infamous “I Kissed A Boy” car karaoke video. And all before a freshly fucked Luke had even showered Dirk’s cum off yet.
TitanMen’s Vice-President Keith Webb pointed out the whiskey commercial with “Put it in your mouth… and smile!” was a riff on the 1992 Tom Selleck film “Mr. Baseball.”
While Jasun Mark dished the real inside dirt about it. “The TV and the wall it’s on… totally CGI. We hadn’t expected to include the commercial so never got a shot of a TV on the wall. ‘Put it in your mouth and smile’ is my one and only dialogue contribution aside from a few ad-libs during the actual sex. It’s a bit of a vamp on my own usual toast “Put it in your mouth and swallow.”
“Luke and Dirk loved the dynamic of the coach and the player. I mean… who doesn’t?” Jasun told me. “The BTS pictures of the two are priceless.”
Keith Webb, who penned the script along with Jesse Jackman, also had a favorite part. “When Dirk tries to kiss Luke for the first time. Luke pulls back a little shocked and says “I’ve just never kissed a guy before.” Then Dirk leans in and gives him a big fat passionate smooch. Luke made it look like it was his first ever man-kiss … Schwing!”
As for my favorite part, that would be watching Luke Adams’ plump rump slide up and down on Dirk’s home base while Dirk’s real life husband Jesse Jackman is looking down on them from his poster on the wall. That, guys, is what we call a ball game. Or as they say at TitanMen, you’re “Out!”
