Chi Chi LaRue Posts First Video From Rehab

Having completed her first 30-day phase of rehab at the Hazelden facility in Minnesota, Chi Chi LaRue was allowed back on Facebook to communicate with friends and fans, and she posted the video below.

She says she’s “really really grateful and thankful and appreciative” for all the support she’s gotten, and letters from friends.

And she addresses the GoFundMe campaign to help her stay longer than 30 days at Hazelden (it turns out insurance only covered 21 days), and she says it’s “humbling” but it was necessary, “because I’ve screwed up a lot.”

As of today the campaign’s raised just over $10,000 of the $40,000 goal.

Yesterday, friend Sister Roma posted her own fresh plea, saying, “If you really had any idea what Chi Chi has been going through for the past 4-5 years – If you had any IDEA of how desperate and critical her condition has been – you’d understand that she does not have the money to pay for treatment herself.” Also she explains that Hazelden was chosen for her, “So don’t accuse her of being a diva or being too grand to go to a shelter or some other place for free care.”

  1. a quick point.. C1R/Rascal is a set up as a couple different companies with several partners so Chi Chi is probably not making the kind of $$$$ everyone thinks he does. As far as insurance not covering it — I’m sure that’s because the insurance they have over there was the cheapest one they could find….

Knowing somebody that was once her assistant I can tell that sober or fucked up she is a fucking nightmare.
